One of the best parts of South Mississippi is being able to take part in a slew of events inside and outside and happening at all hours of the day. Here are six things you're not going to want to miss.

Anglers bring your rods and reels over to one of the largest fishing rodeos in Hancock County. It's called the 2nd Annual WCA Bay-Waveland Fishing Rodeo. Prizes will be given to the person with the largest catch. And for those who aren't catching fish you can fish for fun with carnival rides and tasty bites.

Hipsters across our region are going to be on the coast for one or several of these events.

Zydeco, Country, Swamp Pop, and Blues bands will be playing in the two day Swamp Boogie Blues Festival. Centered at the Hancock County Multi-purpose Arena in the Kiln the festival includes food and arts and crafts vendors. While you're shaking it on the big dance floor children can keep themselves active with face painting and space walking.
