Wiggins Mardi Gras parade starts this evening | Events

WIGGINS, Miss. – The Wiggins Mardi Gras Parade has been slated for Monday, Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. in downtown Wiggins. This will be the second year the parade is held on Lundi Gras, the Monday before Ash Wednesday.

Last year, the Wiggins parade was rescheduled for Monday because of rain on its traditional Saturday date. Public response to the move was so positive, and crowds were so much larger than expected, parade organizers made the move to the Monday evening lighted parade.

Businesses, organizations, groups and individuals are invited to be a part of the parade. Entry forms can be picked up at the Stone County Economic Development Partnership office, located in The Depot at 115 Hatten Avenue East in Wiggins, or by going online at www.stonecounty.com.

The Wiggins Mardi Gras Parade is sponsored by the Stone County Chamber of Commerce, a division of the Stone County Economic Development Partnership.
